Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Burge, age 80, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Post and Bro. James Moffett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burge, a retired employee of Sears and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she played piano, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2018. She loved her morning routine of feeding her birds and squirrels. She also loved her flowers and working in her yard.

Mrs. Burge is survived by two daughters, Angie Harvey and Connie Burge; three sons, Mike Allbritton and wife Marisa, Wayne Burge and wife Tiffani, Shane Burge and wife Shanon; fourteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Cheryl Ramshur and David and Judy Evans.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Walter Braswell and Callie Braswell; husband, Edward R. Burge, Jr.: three brothers; four sisters and a grandson, Michael Lane Allbritton.

Serving as pallbearers are: Mike Allbritton, Angie Harvey, Wayne Burge, Callie Fritchen, Joey Davidson and Kenny Davidson.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund @ 11560 Crossett Rd., Bastrop, LA 71220 in memory of Mrs. Shirley Burge.
