Funeral services for Mr. George Edwin Bonnett, age 94, are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Dusty Walker, Rev. Frankie Smith and Rev. Ricky Bonnett officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Friday, June 29, at Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Bonnett, a retired employee of International Paper Company, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018. He was a member of First Assembly of God, Bastrop where he served as a deacon for many years. He had a passion for hunting and fishing throughout his life.

He is survived by his sons, Wayne Bonnett and wife Reta, Russel Bonnett and wife Wanda; daughter-in-law (widow of Harry Mitchell), Irene Bostick Bonnett; grandchildren, Angela Bonnett Smith and husband Frankie, Ricky Bonnett and wife Angela, Neil Bonnett, Sharon Bonnett Vaupel and husband Tim, Amanda Bonnett Sharp and husband John, Jacquelyn Bonnett Murray and husband Michael; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Mr. Bonnett is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Bonnett; five brothers; three sisters; son, Harry Mitchell and granddaughter, Suprena Lynn.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Smith, Neil Bonnett, Michael Bonnett, John Sharp, Colby Sharp, Tim Vaupel, Michael Murray and Monty Shockey. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Goodwin, Mike White, Ricky Parrott, Ronnie Harrison and Garland Nugent.
