Obituary of Ruth Coley

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Coley, age 85, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. William Willis and Danny Hawthorne officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Coley, a retired drafting clerk with 31 years of service at South Central Bell and member of Green Acres Baptist Church, passed away Saturday November 2, 2019. She sold Home Interior for 22 years, loved plants and did partial decorating.

Mrs. Coley is survived by her husband of 67 years, Pat Coley; daughter, Rebecca Freeman of Vidalia, LA; son, Alton Duane Coley of Memphis, TN; sisters, Virginia Jewett of CA, Freda Lomas of Bossier City, LA; granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Coley and husband Shawn Cupit and a great granddaughter, Vega Kellilyn Cupit. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Alberta Caldwell; sister, Sadie Pyers and brothers, Douglas Caldwell and Jesse Caldwell.
