Private Graveside Service for Richard S. Brady, Sr will be held on Tuesday, June 30th at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bastrop with Chaplain Danny “Padre” Thomas officiating. Richard passed away at the age of 71 on Saturday, June 27th from complications related to Covid-19. Richard was employed with Morehouse General Hospital for over 30 years and made many wonderful lifelong friends there. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Katherine Brady, special brother-in-law, Don Chevallier and 2 nieces, Terri Chevallier Albritton and Kimberly Burroughs. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Beverly Lewis Brady; son, R. Steven Brady, Jr & wife Jennifer, their sons Kameron and Jordon of Monroe, LA; daughter, Kristy Brady, her children, Kayden Brady, Sophia and Eden Armstrong of Rockwall, TX. Also survived by sisters/brothers-in-law: Carole Lewis Earnest and husband, John of Monroe, LA; Margaret Chevallier Ray and husband, Glen of Monroe, LA; Peggy Lewis Burroughs and husband Johnnie of Delhi, LA as well as many nieces and nephews that he adored. Honoring Richard as pallbearers will be the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association 6-5 who became part of his family while he resided at Northeast Veteran’s Home in Monroe, LA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Combat Vets Motorcycle Association 6-5 to the following address: 382 Crewlake Loop, Rayville, LA 71269. Richard was a man loved by all and best known for his sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need. He gave love like no other. A life well lived!
