Obituary of Dana Lea Anderson Truelove

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Dana Lea Anderson Truelove are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, April 5, 2021, in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Bro. Tim Post officiating. The visitation will be held from 12 PM - 1:30 PM Monday, prior to the graveside, at Golden Funeral Home. Dana Truelove died peacefully in her sleep at her mother and father’s home on March 31, 2021, at the age of fifty-four. Dana was born May 5, 1966 and was a native of Morehouse Parish. She graduated from Bastrop High School and while attending school there, Dana worked at the Morehouse Parish School Board office. She got an Bachelor’s Degree from Northeast LA University and went on to pursue her RN Degree in Nashville, TN, where Connor was born. She and her family moved to Duncan, OK, where Matt was born, and later moved to Orlando, Florida where Dana worked in the Cardiac Unit at a hospital there. In 2002, her husband passed away at the young age of thirty-nine. Dana then moved back to Bastrop with her sons, ages three and nine, and went on to work at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital, and Ruston Hospital for several years. Dana is survived by her two sons, Joseph Connor Truelove, Matthew Irving Truelove; sister, Shelly Reese; brother, Brian Anderson and wife Alana; mother and father, Carol and Terry Don Anderson; and several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Glen Truelove, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Coody, Ashton Evans, Nick Cathey, Hunter Bolton, Kievan Bayless, Austin Hester, Aaron Hester, Ty Anderson, and Dylan Johnson.
