Obituary of Carolyn Faye Robinson Joiner

Funeral services for Carolyn Faye Robinson Joiner, 81, are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Bonita Road Baptist Church, with Bro. Andy Myrick and Bro. Rayburn McLarrin officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church, prior to the service, beginning at 11 AM. Carolyn was born on July 27, 1942, in Bastrop, LA, and passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at her home in Bastrop, LA, after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her husband, son, and daughter-in-law. Carolyn was a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Carolyn was loved by everyone that met her. She loved to spend time with her family, do crafts, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and traveling. Carolyn is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, George Joiner; son, Barry Joiner, and wife Michele of West Monroe, LA; sister, Janice Wilkerson, and husband Melvin; grandchildren, Nathan Causey, Wyatt Joiner, Logan Causey, Charleigh Joiner, Marleigh Joiner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and Eunice Robinson; sister, Katy Hart; brothers, Stanley Robinson and Gene “Sonny” Robinson. Serving the family as pallbearers will be B.J. Adams, Evan Wilkerson, James Myres, Jay Dove, Todd Buffington, and Ricky Gross. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Joiner, Nathan Causey, Logan Causey, Paul Rieger, John Walker, Marvin Jaggers, and Billy McMullan.
