Obituary of Quitman Sebren

Funeral services for Quitman Sebren, age 78, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday August 8, 2007 at First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. A.J. Fulton and Rev. Dwight Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Sebren, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Sunday August 5, 2007 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a retired equipment operator and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his son, Richard Sebren and wife Felicia of Bastrop; daughter, Brenda Farrar and husband Ernie of Bastrop; two sisters, Hazel Lott and Janet Haynes, both of Bastrop; three brothers, Pat Sebren, Franklin Sebren, and Don Sebren, all of Bastrop; and six grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Robinson, Jr., Huey Singley, Buddy Montgomery, George Edmond, and Andy Anderson.
