Funeral services for Mr. Charles Kennedy, age 87, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Kennedy, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2007. He was a retired pulp mill superintendent from International Paper Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Kennedy is preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Kennedy; and son, Edward Randall Kennedy.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Kennedy of Natchitoches, LA; son, Charles Robert Kennedy, Jr. & wife Eileen of Denton, TX; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
