Obituary of Jr. Buffington

Funeral arrangements for Grover W. Buffington, Jr., age 82, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Ninemire officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Buffington, a resident of Oak Grove, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at his residence. He was a retired employee of Temple Inland Paper Mill. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Wynne Buffington; brother, Howard L. Buffington; and parents, Grover W. Buffington, Sr. and Edith Folds Buffington. He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Jane Buffington Bonner & husband Larry of Oak Grove, LA, Meredith Ann Sanders & husband Dennis of Homer, LA; two sons, Grover L. Buffington & wife Kathleen of Chopin, LA, Gary V. Buffington & wife Mary of Buna, TX; two sisters, Laverne "Pete" Grant & husband Jack of Bastrop, LA, Yvonne McClain & husband Dan of Bastrop, LA; two brothers, Billy Wayne Buffington & wife Thelma of Mer Rouge, LA, James E. Buffington & wife Delia of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren, Shane D. Bonner & wife Sherrie, Bryan P. Bonner & wife Necia, Michael W. Sanders & wife Stephanie, Jena Hutton, Angela R. Ashley & husband Tim, Melissa A. Buffington, Jody L. Buffington, Victoria Buffington, Adam L. Buffington, Waylon Buffington; two step grandchildren, Warren Bonner & wife Tonya, Shawn Bonner & wife Kristal; four great grandchildren, Faith Bonner, Nicholas Bonner, Anna Grace Bonner, Ayla Hutton; three step great grandchildren, John Michael Bonner, Marcus Bonner, Joshua Bonner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Mr. Buffington's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
