Obituary of Frances Kennedy Thompson

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Kennedy Bellamy Thompson, 89, of Oak Ridge, LA are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Donnie Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Thompson, a retired Registered Nurse and member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in Birmingham, AL. She was a member of the Pierian Club and Daughters of the Revolution. She is survived by a son, Jay Freeling Bellamy of Lafayette, LA; sister, Minel Kennedy Wilkins of Forest Park, IL; six grandchildren, Mittie Bellamy Dunand, Jon Heath Bellamy, Wendy Roach, Stephanie McConnell, Matthew McConnell, Helen Umstead; eight great grandchildren, Tucker Dunand, Sam Dunand, William Bellamy, Sara Catherine Bellamy, Kyla Roach, Emily McConnell, Camille McConnell and Lillith McConnell. Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her first husband, Major Freeling Bellamy; second husband, Gerald Thompson; parents, Samuel and Minnie Kennedy; four brothers and one sister. Pallbearers will be: Jon Heath Bellamy, Matthew McConnell, Joe Dunand, Brent Umstead, James Earl Walker and Daniel Hughes. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, Oak Ridge, LA.
